Setting up the Induction Loop System

The loop system is quick and easy to set up. No technical expertise is necessary. However, you may wish to engage a tradesman (builder / electrician) to install the loop of wire.

The room loop is placed around the perimeter of the room.
The loop may be placed under a carpet, under a timber floor, inside a ceiling
or attached to the skirting board around the perimeter of the room.
The room loop is then connected to the appropriate outlet on the loop amplifier unit.
Those wishing to hear through the loop must sit within the loop circumference to receive the best quality of sound.

The loop amplifier unit can be directly connected to some types of television sets and radios. However, if a connection outlet is not available on the television set, simply place the microphone close to the speaker on the radio or television set.

The loop amplifier has a connection for an alarm (eg. front door bell) to alert the listener when using the loop while the hearing aid is switched to T position.

We are happy to advise you as to how the room loop may be tailored to suit your particular situation and needs as well as the most suitable leads and adaptors to use when connecting to a television set or radio etc.
